Prachanda Challenges RSP, Claims NCP is the "Newest" Party

NCP Coordinator Prachanda has challenged the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) to stop boasting about being a new party, claiming that the NCP is actually newer in comparison.

Addressing a NCP election consultation program, Prachanda stated that he has already unified 25 different factions and claimed that an environment is being created for the NCP to win elections in most parts of the country.

He asserted that there is a strong possibility of the CPN becoming the first party and criticized those calling themselves "new," targeting the RSP by commenting that they lack any clear ideology or principles.

He asked, "They talk about new and old, but what exactly is new? Ideology and agenda determine what is new or old. Has anyone brought a newer idea to the country than the Republic? New means the Republic; therefore, the NCP is the newest of all.

What slogan is newer than providing identity and rights to everyone? Do those calling themselves 'new' have any issue newer than the Federal Democratic Republic?" He further claimed that while people categorize the NCP as old, it is actually the RSP that is the oldest in terms of substance.
