Prachanda Calls for Leftist Unity and National Teamwork
Former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has made a public call for unity among the country's main political groups.
In a Facebook post, the CPN (Maoist Centre) coordinator said that to solve the hard problems the nation is facing, we need two things:
Unity among Leftist Groups: He urged all patriotic, progressive, and Maoist streams to come together quickly and form one Communist Party under a single banner. He stressed that only a "revolutionary idea, a strong organization, and honest political steps" can fix the nation's crises.
Teamwork with Democratic Forces: Prachanda also called on all other republican and democratic parties to join a "common front of national unity." The goal of this broader teamwork, he said, is to protect the Constitution, defend national independence, and build a base for socialism and a better democracy.
In short, he believes that to move forward, the Left needs to become one group, and that group needs to work with all other democratic forces.
