Prachanda Calls People's War the Biggest Gen-Z Rebellion
Kathmandu – Maoist Centre chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) has claimed that the People's War was the largest Gen-Z rebellion.
Speaking at a Constitution Day program at the party office in Parisdanda on Friday, he said that over 90% of participants in the war belonged to the Gen-Z generation.
Prachanda also claimed that he closely witnessed attempts to dissolve parliament, scrap the constitution, and remove the president, and played a role in preserving the constitution through dialogue with the president, the army chief, and party leaders.
He further stated that many of the demands raised by the Gen-Z movement had been voiced by his party a decade ago, and had they been addressed then, such protests might not have arisen.
He warned that political arrogance has fueled public anger, which could escalate further, citing examples from Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
