Spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel defends Prime Minister Balen's statement on border issue in Parliament
Government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel has clarified that what Prime Minister Balen Shah previously said in parliament regarding the border dispute is the truth, adding that the Prime Minister is ready to respond in the House again if necessary.
Spokesperson Pokharel's clarification comes at a time when Prime Minister Shah is facing widespread criticism after expressing during the parliament meeting on jestha 17 that Nepal has also encroached upon Indian territory.
While making the decisions of the Council of Ministers public, Spokesperson Pokharel stated that the border dispute between Nepal and India would be resolved through dialogue and established diplomatic mechanisms formed with the agreement of both countries.
Noting that both nations have already sent diplomatic notes on this matter, he mentioned that the border dispute would be settled based on technical facts.
