PM Sushila Karki and Madhesh Province Head Surendra Labh Meet to Discuss Current Political Situation
KATHMANDU, Jan 7: Prime Minister Sushila Karki and the Head of Madhesh Province, Surendra Labh, held a meeting on Tuesday at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar.
According to the Prime Minister's Secretariat, the meeting focused on reviewing efforts to maintain peace, harmony, and tolerance in response to the recent political and social developments.
During the discussion, both leaders noted that the country is moving toward a critical electoral phase. They emphasized the need to remain vigilant against potential challenges and to mobilize all state mechanisms to create a favorable environment for the upcoming elections.
The Prime Minister highlighted that Province Head Labh has been playing a balanced and parental role among various levels and sections of society. She further clarified that the support and cooperation of all parties are expected to sustain these efforts.
