Meeting Between Prime Minister Sushila Karki and Families of Martyrs of 'Gen Z' Protests

Prime Minister Sushila Karki met with the families of the martyrs who attained martyrdom during the 'Gen Z' protests.

During the discussion held today at Singha Durbar with the delegation representing the families of the martyrs, the work carried out by the government in line with the 'mandate' of the protests was discussed, according to the Prime Minister's Secretariat.

The delegation, led by Bhoj Bikram Thapa from the martyrs' families, also expressed the view that the focus should not only be on elections but also on action against corruption and the immediate arrest of those who suppressed the movement.

Similarly, it was stated that the government was cautioned about the immediate implementation of the 14-point demands previously submitted to the government, and the need to prevent a situation that could lead to another protest.

Prime Minister Karki and Minister Gupta stated that the government is serious and sincere towards the mandate of the movement and the demands of the martyrs' families. 

Minister of Youth and Sports Bablu Gupta, Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal Suman Raj Aryal, and others were present at the discussion.
