President Paudel to Address Joint Session of Federal Parliament
Kathmandu - President Ram Chandra Paudel is scheduled to address a joint session of both houses of the Federal Parliament today. According to the President's Office, as per Article 95 of the Constitution of Nepal and upon the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, the President will address the joint meeting of both houses of the Federal Parliament on Friday, Chaitra 27, at 15:00. The President has also called upon the members of both houses to attend.
Current Session of Both Houses to End Tonight
President Paudel has decided to prorogue the current session of both houses of the Federal Parliament effective from 12:00 midnight tonight. According to the President's Office, the decision to end the session was made in accordance with Article 93, Clause (2) of the Constitution of Nepal, following the decision and recommendation of the Government of Nepal's Council of Ministers on Chaitra 24. The current session of both houses had commenced on Chaitra 19.
