'Parties with 76/77-Year History Have Their Own Values; Can't Just Follow Every Opinion': Surya Thapa

Kathmandu. Surya Thapa, a CPN (UML) leader and former member of the House of Representatives, has emphasized the importance of established procedures, systems, and values within political parties, stating that it is "not necessary to just follow everything anyone says."

In a Facebook post, leader Thapa wrote, "Political parties that carry a 76/77-year history have their own established procedures, systems, and values.

We must consider all generations; it is not necessary to just follow everything anyone says."

Thapa’s comments are widely seen as a response to the ongoing internal debates within political parties regarding generational change and the demands from younger leaders.
