Rastriya Swatantra Party Finalizes Parliamentary Committee Leadership

Kathmandu: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has finalized the leadership of parliamentary committees under the House of Representatives. A meeting of the RSP parliamentary party held at Singha Durbar on Thursday afternoon settled on the committee chairpersons.

It is reported that the nomination of chairpersons for various parliamentary committees will take place today. The selection of the committee leadership will occur on Friday.

According to the decision, Hari Dhakal will lead the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, Ashok Kumar Chaudhary will head the Agriculture, Cooperatives, and Natural Resources Committee, Manish Jha will lead the Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumer Interest Committee, and Rahabar Ansari will chair the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee.

Furthermore, Samiksha Baskota will lead the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee, Sumnima Udas will head the International Relations and Tourism Committee, and Sushant Vaidik will lead the Finance Committee. The leadership for the Parliamentary Hearing Committee has not yet been finalized. 

Meanwhile, it is a tradition to give the leadership of the Public Accounts Committee to the opposition. Accordingly, that committee will be allocated to the opposition party.
