Youth Protest at Maitighar Demanding Restoration of Parliament
A group of youth has staged a protest in Kathmandu demanding the restoration of Parliament. Youth associated with an organization called Civil Youth Society demonstrated at Maitighar in Kathmandu on Tuesday, demanding that the parliament, which was unconstitutionally dissolved, must be restored through legal means.
While the case regarding the restoration of the House of Representatives is sub judice in the Supreme Court, they expressed confidence that an order will be issued to protect the constitution.
They stated that their primary demands are for a swift verdict on the court cases and for the parliament to be restored legally. They further noted that the restoration of parliament is essential to run the country in accordance with the law.
The youth participating in the protest chanted slogans and carried placards with messages such as "Save the Constitution," "Bring Back the Parliament," "Return the Stolen Parliament," and "Restore the Dissolved Parliament."
