Parking Arrangements Made for UML General Convention in Kathmandu
Kathmandu, 9th December: Three locations have been arranged for parking vehicles of the representatives and observers who will be attending the 11th National General Convention of the Nepal Communist Party (UML).
The Transport Management Committee, convened by UML Secretary Gokarna Bista, has arranged parking at three places in Bhaktapur for the systematic parking of public and private vehicles.
Deknath Gautam, President of the Nepal Democratic Transport Entrepreneurs' Organization, informed RSS that vehicles arriving from the west of Kathmandu have been arranged to be kept in the ground of the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority and CTEVT, north of Gatthaghar.
Similarly, parking has been arranged at Viral Planning in Jagati for vehicles coming from the east of Kathmandu. Likewise, vehicles arriving from places like Sindhupalchok, Dolakha, Rasuwa, Nuwakot, etc., have been arranged to be parked in the Kamalbinayak Corridor, said President Gautam.
The General Convention Transport Management Committee of the Nepal Communist Party (UML) had formed a 15-member Transport Management Committee with joint representatives from the Nepal Democratic Transport Entrepreneurs' Organization and the Nepal Transport Independent Workers' Union to manage the public and private vehicles participating in the General Convention.
President Gautam stated that although arrangements have currently been made for parking three thousand public rental vehicles and two thousand private vehicles, provisions have been made to park in other locations if additional vehicles arrive. He mentioned that there would be no problem with parking for the vehicles attending the General Convention.
It is reported that 30 percent of the leaders and cadres have already arrived in Kathmandu to participate in the UML General Convention, which is going to be held from Mangsir 27 to 29 in Kathmandu.
