Orientation Training for Election Officers Scheduled
Kathmandu, 27 Poush: The Election Commission will conduct orientation training on 28 and 29 Poush at different locations for Chief Election Officers and Election Officers assigned for the upcoming House of Representatives elections.
According to Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, the training will be held at four locations—Kathmandu, Chitwan, Biratnagar, and Nepalgunj—for Election Officers from all seven provinces. Commission officials and relevant staff have already been assigned responsibilities to run the training.
The training follows a “train-the-trainer” program, where trainers were first prepared and will now conduct further sessions. After receiving the training, Election Officers will establish their offices in their respective election areas and start work from 2 Magh.
The Commission, after consulting with the Judicial Council, has appointed 77 district judges as Chief Election Officers and 88 gazetted second-class judicial officers as Election Officers.
