Oli: "CPN (UML) Is Not Just Another Party; It’s a Mission"
Kathmandu: CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has stated that the UML carries a special responsibility toward the nation, which it has a duty to fulfill. Speaking at a special election-related meeting of the Jhapa-Kathmandu Liaison Committee, he claimed that the CPN (UML) is distinct from other political parties.
He said, "CPN (UML) is a party carrying a special mission. That mission must be completed. It is different from other parties. Its work involves nationality, responsibility, and accountability. Therefore, this party is unique compared to others."
Chairman Oli clarified that he did not mean to imply that only the UML is a patriotic or democratic party, but commented that other parties' clarity, ability to stand firm on principles, and implementation power are becoming weak.
"It's not that other parties aren't patriotic or democratic, but nowadays, clarity, the capacity to stand by it, and the power of implementation are diminishing," he said.
He emphasized the need to move forward by strengthening the country once again as a sovereign, independent, and self-reliant nation while building an autonomous economy. Additionally, he pointed out the necessity of advancing while protecting the independent political system, original social values, and glorious cultural identity.
"We must move forward by maintaining the country's status as a sovereign, free, and independent nation, while upholding a self-reliant economy, independent politics, our original social values, and our glorious culture," he said.
