CPN-UML Chairman Oli Criticizes Government for Failing to Ensure Fair Elections
Damak: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has stated that the government has still failed to create an environment for fair elections. Speaking at the "Students with Ba" program organized by ANNFSU in Damak, Jhapa, on Friday, Chairman Oli mentioned that the UML joined the election race to liberate the country from the prevailing crisis.
He noted that the country was pushed toward a crisis after the sovereign parliament was forcibly dissolved through destructive means. Asserting that the UML will not run away from the elections, he mentioned that the party is focused on the polls nationwide. Oli expressed confidence that the UML will emerge as the leading force in the upcoming elections and will provide solutions to the problems facing the country.
Oli further emphasized that any form of rigging in the election would be unacceptable to the UML. He claimed that the government does not appear serious about making the election fair and free of rigging. During the program, he urged the youth not to fall for misinformation spread through various channels and encouraged them to work toward debunking such myths.
Young students raised various questions to Chairman Oli during the event. Addressing their queries, he stated that a party's role and actions are determined by its principles, programs, and agenda. He also suggested that the UML's programs and principles should be communicated effectively to the general public.
