Justice Meghraj Pokharel to Hear Oli’s Habeas Corpus Case Today

A hearing is scheduled for today at the Supreme Court on the habeas corpus petition filed on behalf of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, claiming that he has been detained unlawfully. The petition, registered on Sunday by Radhika Shakya on Oli’s behalf, has been assigned to the bench of Justice Meghraj Pokharel.
Based on the report submitted by an investigation commission regarding the suppression during the “Zen Z Movement” on Bhadra 23 and 24, the current government arrested the then Prime Minister and Home Minister on Saturday and has initiated further investigation.
