No Potholes on Nepal's Roads in Three Years, Claims Minister Lamsal
Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal has claimed that no potholes will be seen on any roads in Nepal within the next three years.
Answering the questions raised by parliamentarians regarding the budget in the House of Representatives, he clarified that road maintenance work will now be done according to a regular schedule rather than on a piecemeal basis.
Minister Lamsal informed that a 9-year action plan has been formulated to connect all ward centers in remote areas with road networks. Under this plan, the track opening will be completed in the first 3 years, followed by graveling and pitching.
He stated that 28 arba 50 crore rupees will be spent over the next 3 years for this comprehensive road project, which will be implemented in coordination with local levels.
