MP Niskal Rai Objects to Prime Minister's Continuous Absence

Kathmandu: Member of Parliament Niskal Rai has voiced his objection regarding the continuous absence of the Prime Minister. Speaking during the emergency session of the House of Representatives meeting held today, he stated that although MPs had sought the Prime Minister's presence in the House, he was absent again today.

He said, "Members of Parliament sought the presence of the Prime Minister in the House. Today, the situation remains the same. The Prime Minister is not present in the House. Today's agenda includes responding to questions raised regarding the policies and programs formulated by the Prime Minister himself. However, the House has not seen the Prime Minister."

MP Rai remarked that the responsibility for protecting the dignity and prestige of the Parliament lies with the Speaker, and expressed the view that if the Speaker cannot maintain the honor of the House, no one else can enhance its dignity.

He added, "It is the Speaker's role to enhance the dignity and protect the honor of the House. If the Speaker cannot maintain the honor of the House, no one can increase its dignity. I urge the Speaker to immediately call the Prime Minister to the House."

He further requested the Speaker to ensure the Prime Minister's immediate presence in the Parliament.
