Nishkal Rai of Nepali Congress Files Nomination in Ilam-1

Ilam: Nishkal Rai of the Nepali Congress has filed his nomination in Ilam Constituency No. 1. He submitted his candidacy at the election office located in the Suryodaya Municipality building in Fikkal.

After filing the nomination, Rai stated that he would fulfill the responsibility given by the party and remain firmly committed to serving the people. The 35-year-old Rai also mentioned that he would represent the party using his youthful experience and bring Ilam's voice to the central level.

Having completed a Master's degree in Management from Shanker Dev Campus in Kathmandu and currently pursuing an MPhil in Economics, Rai is the current President of Provincial Assembly Constituency (B) under Ilam Constituency 1.

Alongside politics, he was also involved in the teaching profession. Rai, who taught at Shanker Dev Campus for a long time, has been active in student politics since his school days. He has gained organizational experience by holding various positions in the Nepal Student Union center, progressing through school and campus units.

In the same constituency, the Mayor of Suryodaya Municipality, Ran Bahadur Rai, has also filed his candidacy after resigning from his post. He filed his nomination on behalf of the Nepali Communist Party. Similarly, Kajiman Kagate has filed his candidacy from the CPN (UML).
