Newly Appointed Ministers Take Oath of Office and Secrecy

Kathmandu. The newly appointed ministers have taken the oath of office and secrecy. In a ceremony held on Friday at the President's residence, Shital Niwas, 14 ministers took the oath of office and secrecy from President Ram Chandra Paudel on the recommendation of Prime Minister Balen Shah (Balendra).

During the program, 108 students (Batuks) performed Swastik recitations. Similarly, 107 Buddhist Lama Gurus performed Mangal recitations, and 7 Brahmins blew conch shells to complete the swearing-in ceremony according to Sanatan traditions.

The names of the 14 ministers in the government led by Balen are as follows:

  1. Balendra Shah, Prime Minister and Council of Ministers
  2. Swarnim Wagle, Ministry of Finance
  3. Shishir Khanal, Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  4. Sobita Gautam, Minister of Law
  5. Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, Minister of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation
  6. Sudan Gurung, Minister of Home Affairs
  7. Pratibha Rawal, Minister of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, and Federal Affairs and General Administration
  8. Bikram Timalsina, Minister of Communication and Information Technology
  9. Gita Chaudhary, Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Development, and Forest and Environment
  10. Deepak Kumar Shah, Minister of Labor and Employment
  11. Sasmit Pokharel, Education, Youth, and Sports
  12. Khadak Paudel, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation
  13. Sunil Lamsal, Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, and Urban Development
  14. Sita Badi, Minister of Women, Children, and Senior Citizens
  15. Nisha Mehta, Minister of Health and Population, and Ministry of Water Supply

Additionally, the Prime Minister himself will take charge of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies.
