President Paudel Calls for National Unity and Prosperity in New Year Message

Kathmandu. President Ram Chandra Paudel, while extending his best wishes on the occasion of the New Year 2083, has stated that a collective resolve is necessary for national unity, good governance, and prosperity. Expressing his New Year greetings on Tuesday, he mentioned that the New Year should be taken not just as a celebration, but as an opportunity for reviewing the past and guiding the path for the future.

The President said that through the recently concluded elections, the people have made clear their expectations for a federal democratic republic, the rule of law, social justice, and prosperity. He emphasized that all political forces and citizens must move forward united to fulfill this desire of the people.

He has proposed five major resolutions to move the country in the right direction. According to him, loyalty to democratic values and the republic, good governance and transparency, inclusion and social justice, the protection of national sovereignty, and a citizen-centered governance system are the needs of today. Mentioning that firm determination, discipline, and cooperation are indispensable to achieve these goals, he called upon everyone to play a responsible role from their respective positions.
