Nepali Congress Kaski Meets to Review Gen Z Movement Aftermath, Urges Unity for Constitution’s Defense

Pokhara, Sept 12. The Nepali Congress Kaski held a meeting today to discuss the situation following the Gen Z movement.
According to Deputy Secretary and Spokesperson Naveen Sigdel, the meeting was chaired by Acting District President Rambabu Bhandari and attended by central members Guru Baral and Sharda Poudel, along with district officials, constituency, provincial, and municipal presidents.
“A serious discussion was held on the current situation,” spokesperson Sigdel said. “The meeting focused on the role the party must play and the necessary preparations to safeguard the constitution.”
The meeting strongly condemned the violent attack on Party President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, central member and former Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Deuba Rana, and other leaders. It also denounced the arson and vandalism targeting their homes, as well as public and private properties. The party wished for the speedy recovery of all those injured in the incidents.
Additionally, the meeting paid tribute to Gen Z youths, civilians, and security personnel who lost their lives during the movement, and expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
The gathering urged party members not to lose morale and emphasized the need to unite in defense of the constitution. Following the meeting, a demonstration was organized from the party office to BP Chowk, calling for unity to protect the constitution, spokesperson Sigdel informed.
