Nepali Congress Issues Statement on Governance and Party Strengthening

Kathmandu: The Nepali Congress has stated that it is moving forward with a firm determination to lead the country toward good governance, inclusiveness, and prosperity. Issuing a statement on Friday, the party described itself as a democratic party that has always been a confluence of thought, conscience, and commitment.

The statement notes, "With changing times, transformed political consciousness, and the clear vision of new leadership, the Nepali Congress is today moving forward with a firm resolve to lead the country toward good governance, inclusiveness, and prosperity."

Spokesperson and Coordinator of the Central Publicity Committee, Devraj Chalise, informed that under the leadership of Party President Gagan Kumar Thapa, the Congress has placed high priority on organizational strengthening, policy clarity, and the restoration of public trust.

"The Nepali Congress is always a democratic platform that serves as a confluence of thought, conscience, and commitment. Here, institutional values are prioritized over individual capacity," the statement reads. "Transparency, accountability, and policy-based politics are adopted. It is our firm belief that new thinking, fresh energy, and the participation of experienced personalities are indispensable for the strengthening of the country and democracy."

The Congress has also called upon those who believe in building an alternative force and are active in various prestigious professions—such as medicine, education, law, industry, information technology, agriculture, labor, and civil society—and who wish to contribute to social transformation by connecting with a political background, to join the party.
