Nepali Congress Forms Election Committee Amid Special Convention

Kathmandu: On the second day of the special convention, called by the Nepali Congress’ pro-special convention faction starting Sunday, a five-member election committee was formed under the chairmanship of Senior Advocate Sitaram KC, president of the Democratic Lawyers Association (DLA).

While discussions continued on two separate proposals presented by party General Secretaries Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwprakash Sharma, a five-member election committee was formed under the leadership of DLA President KC.

According to Congress central member Pratima Gautam, the election committee consists of DLA President Sitaram KC, Senior Advocate Ashok Pokhrel, Advocate Gokarna Banjade, RC Bimal Paudel, and Ramchandra Gautam.
