Plan to Produce Nepal Police Uniforms Domestically

Kathmandu. Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has stated that a plan has been put forward to produce the necessary uniforms for the Nepal Police within the country.

Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu, Home Minister Gurung mentioned that a dedicated factory will be established to produce police uniforms, which will be located in rural areas outside the city. He said this would provide employment to local villagers and increase domestic production.

Minister Gurung said, "If we produce police uniforms ourselves, industry will develop within the country, jobs will be created, and necessary materials will be available on time."

Similarly, he also raised issues regarding the nutrition and working conditions of the police. He stated that since police personnel have to work day and night, improvements in their nutrition and facilities are necessary.

Mentioning that he has been raising his voice on this matter for some time, he informed that the relevant file has already moved forward from the ministry and is now ready to be taken into the implementation phase.
