Nepali Communist Party Supports Rastriya Swatantra Party’s DP Aryal for Speaker

The Nepali Communist Party has decided not to field its own candidate for the Speaker position and announced support for DP Aryal of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). With RSP’s Deputy Chairperson Aryal already having filed his nomination for Speaker, NCP Chief Secretary Yubaraj Dulal stated that, considering the parliamentary arithmetic, they would support RSP.
Although the NCP has decided to assist another party for the Speaker post, it maintains its claim for the Deputy Speaker position and is prepared to field a candidate if political consensus is reached.
