NCP Sets Candidates for National Assembly Elections
Kathmandu, Jan 7: The Nepal Communist Party has picked its candidates for the National Assembly elections happening on January 25. The party leaders, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Madhav Kumar Nepal, made the final decisions on who will run for the seats.
According to Govinda Acharya, who works for Leader Dahal, the party chose Khemraj Sundas, Hemraj Ghimire, and Namita Neupane for Koshi Province. In Madhesh Province, the candidates are Ramnandan Prasad, Laxman Paudel, Shambhu Paswan, and Samikumari Agrawal. For Bagmati Province, the party selected Prem Prasad Sapkota and Saroj Kumari Jha.
The party also chose Kapil Lama for Gandaki Province and Durga Bhandari, Brihaspati Adhikari, and Sarjan BK for Lumbini Province. For Karnali Province, Buddhi Prasad Sharma and Anju Mahatara were selected, while Tikaram Jaisi and Rosy Basnet Sunar were named as candidates for Sudurpashchim Province.
