Nepali Congress 15th General Convention Schedule

KATHMANDU — Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa has proposed a schedule for the 15th General Convention. He presented the timeline during a meeting of the Central Working Committee on Tuesday.

During the meeting held at Sanepa on Tuesday, President Thapa proposed holding the General Convention in the last week of Bhadra. The proposal suggests starting the convention process in Chaitra and concluding it by the end of Bhadra.

According to the Nepali Congress constitution, a regular general convention must be held within one year of a special general convention. The party's special general convention took place last Poush.

Previously, the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress was held from Mangsir 24 to 28, 2078. Sher Bahadur Deuba was elected president during that convention.
