Leaders' Gathering Concluded in Bhaktapur for the Way Forward of Nepali Congress
A special gathering of leading leaders has concluded in Bhaktapur with the conclusion that a Special General Convention is the necessary path for the current political situation of the Nepali Congress.
The assembly expressed the collective opinion that the party must select new policies and a strong leadership through this convention to participate unitedly in the upcoming elections scheduled for Falgun 21.
The gathering saw significant participation from prominent figures, including Bhesh Bahadur Karki, Regional President of Bhaktapur Constituency No. 2, General Committee members Bishnu Raj Karki and Suresh Shrestha, and Advocate Kiran Neupane, a former Central Member of the Nepal Student Union.
Other notable attendees included General Convention representatives Manoj Kumar Thapa, Saru Baniya, and Sangita Phuyal, along with various Ward Committee presidents, regional and provincial officials, and Ward Chairpersons.
The meeting reached several key decisions, including organizing a press conference on the 24th, holding a large-scale district-level gathering of leading cadres, and ensuring active participation to make the Special General Convention on the 27th grand and well-organized.
Furthermore, there was an agreement to initiate all necessary preparations to involve supporters and well-wishers from across the Bhaktapur district.
Following the program, Advocate Kiran Neupane stated that these decisions would provide the party with new energy and direction, urging all levels of the party leadership and membership to work together for the success of the upcoming convention.
