Narayan Kaji Shrestha: No Pardon for Those Who Set Fire to Singha Durbar

Kathmandu – Senior Vice Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Narayan Kaji Shrestha, has said that those who set fire to national institutions like Singha Durbar cannot be pardoned.
While participating in the cleaning of the Maoist party office, he remarked that it was not only about the party office but also about the destruction of Singha Durbar, a symbol of the nation, which cannot be excused under any circumstance.
He said, “Everything was set ablaze, many items were looted, and much property was destroyed. It is not only about the party office—Singha Durbar, which stands as a symbol of the nation, was also burned. We cannot pardon such people under any condition.”
Furthermore, he stated that the Maoist party will now move forward by aligning with the issues of Gen-Z, to ensure the success of the achievements of past struggles. He added, “We had resolved to transform and restructure our party, and we will pursue that goal.
By joining hands with the cause of Gen-Z, we will move forward to make the achievements of that movement successful. We have potential, and we will rise in the way we must.”
