From Maitighar to Baneshwor: See the Photo Feature of PABSON and N-PABSON Protest

The Private and Residential Schools’ Organization Nepal (PABSON) and the National Private and Residential Schools’ Association Nepal (N-PABSON), currently in protest, demonstrated from Maitighar to Baneshwor. Gathering at Maitighar, they raised slogans to oppose certain provisions of the School Education Bill.
This morning, they also paraded their vehicles along the ring road. The umbrella organizations of the schools have announced that if their demands are not met by the 8 Bhadra, private schools will be closed, and the protest will begin on the 9 bhadra.
Their demands include: scrapping provisions in the School Education Bill regarding full scholarships, removing clauses that require schools to provide materials that are not produced on-site, and eliminating provisions that gradually convert schools into ‘non-profit’ institutions.
