MPs Requested to Provide Biometric Details for New Attendance System
Kathmandu. The Federal Parliament Secretariat has prepared to implement an electronic attendance system in parliamentary meetings. For this purpose, the Secretariat has requested all Members of Parliament to be present at the designated date, time, and location, stating that their biometric details will be collected.
Issuing a notice on Thursday, the Secretariat mentioned that official photographs will also be taken along with the biometric details of the members of the Federal Parliament. As there is a photo session, MPs have been requested to attend in official attire wearing the Federal Parliament logo.
According to the notice, members of the International Relations and Tourism Committee and the Development, Economic Affairs, and Good Governance Committee have been asked to be present at the Public Accounts Committee hall on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. During the same time, members of the Finance Committee and the Legislative Management Committee have been requested to be present at the Finance Committee hall.
Similarly, members of the Industry and Commerce, Labour and Consumer Interest Committee have been asked to be present at the Public Accounts Committee hall on Thursday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Members of the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee have been requested to be present at the Finance Committee hall.
Tomorrow, Friday, members of the Agriculture, Cooperative, and Natural Resources Committee and the Federalism Empowerment and National Concerns Committee have been asked to be present at the Public Accounts Committee hall from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Members of the Infrastructure Development Committee and the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee have been requested to attend at the Finance Committee hall.
Members of the Women and Social Affairs Committee have been asked to be present at the Public Accounts Committee hall on Friday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, while members of the State Management and Good Governance Committee have been requested to be present at the Finance Committee hall.
Furthermore, on Baisakh 28, the Secretariat has requested members of the Public Accounts Committee and the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee to be present in separate meeting halls.
