More than 100 Impressive Achievements by Mayor Balen in 2081 (With Video)

Kathmandu:

Mayor Balen Shah of Kathmandu Metropolitan City presented the policy and program for the upcoming fiscal year 2081/82 on Friday. Prior to this, he highlighted the achievements of the current fiscal year 2080/81 in 89 key points, which included many routine and ongoing services that the metropolitan city has been providing for years.

Balen Shah was elected as the Mayor of Kathmandu as an independent candidate on Jestha 12, 2079 (May 26, 2022). In his first year, he gained continuous attention for using bulldozers to remove unauthorized structures that violated standards. This year, he has also taken several initiatives, which he prioritized and listed among his key accomplishments.

Mayor Balen Shah today publicly shared the achievements obtained through the implementation of the policy and budget approved by the municipal assembly in the last fiscal year. These accomplishments cover a wide range of areas, from footpath and road construction to heritage preservation and improvements in education.
