Modi Becomes First World Leader to Cross 100 Million Instagram Followers
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the first world leader to cross 100 million followers on Instagram. He joined the platform in 2014 and has now reached this major milestone.
Modi has more than double the followers of US President Donald Trump, who has 43.2 million followers. Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto has 15 million followers, Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has 14.4 million, Turkey’s President Tayyip Erdogan has 11.6 million, and Argentina’s President Javier Milei has 6.4 million. Even together, their total followers are fewer than Modi’s.
In India, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has 16.1 million followers, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has around 12.6 million.
Surveys also show Modi leading in approval ratings among world leaders, with recent reports placing him at the top of the list.
