Ministry of Energy Bans Plastic Materials

Kathmandu. The Ministry of Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation has implemented a decision to completely ban the use of plastic materials starting today, Tuesday. 

The Ministry has imposed this total ban with the aim of putting into practice its commitment to environmental protection, cleanliness promotion, and sustainable development.

It is stated that this decision was made in line with the policy of encouraging the use of alternative and environment-friendly materials while minimizing the negative impact on the environment caused by the excessive use of plastic items. To make the decision successful, the Ministry has already directed all relevant agencies and employees.
