Country Heads Toward Elections, Says Minister Kharel
Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Jagadish Kharel, has claimed that the country is now moving toward elections.
Speaking with journalists on Tuesday after visiting the CPN-UML party office, he stated that the government is working to create a suitable environment for the polls. He noted that the CPN-UML is also ready to participate, sending a clear message that the nation is heading for an election.
Claiming that the UML supports the elections, he said, "The Election Commission is active, and security agencies are working with high morale. In this environment, the party General Secretary has clearly stated that if the government creates the right conditions, the UML is ready to join the race."
He added that his meeting with the UML was focused on the upcoming polls. He also assured that the government will ensure safety and prevent any obstacles for leaders and workers during their election campaigns and activities.
