Prashant Upreti of RSP Elected from Makwanpur-2
Hetauda. Prashant Upreti of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has emerged victorious from Makwanpur House of Representatives Constituency No. 2. According to the final election results released by the Election Commission on Sunday, Upreti has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives.
Upreti secured 31,725 votes, defeating his closest rival, Mahesh Bartaula of the CPN (UML), by a margin of 12,101 votes. Bartaula received 19,624 votes.
Similarly, the Nepali Congress candidate Buddha Lama, who finished in third place, obtained 15,436 votes. CPN candidate Labsher Bista received 12,754 votes.
With Upreti's victory, the RSP has further strengthened its presence in the House of Representatives from Makwanpur-2. Following the announcement of the election results, supporters celebrated the victory in Hetauda.
