UML Leader Mahesh Basnet Warns of Resistance if Youth Union Rally is Stopped; Issues 24-Hour Ultimatum
Kathmandu. CPN (UML) leader Mahesh Basnet has warned of resistance if the Home Ministry attempts to stop the motorcycle rally planned by the National Youth Association Nepal.
Writing a post on Facebook, leader Basnet alleged that the Home Ministry issued the directive to stop the rally because it was intimidated by the "grandeur and public enthusiasm" for the Youth Association's event.
He announced that the organization has initially respected the government's directive but has issued a 24-hour ultimatum. Basnet made it clear that if an environment is not created for the rally even after the 24-hour period, or if any attempt is made to stop the rally, it will be met with resistance.
