Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat Intensifies Election Campaign in Nuwakot

Kathmandu. Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, the Nepali Congress candidate from Nuwakot Constituency No. 1, has intensified his door-to-door election campaign. As a candidate for the House of Representatives from the Nepali Congress, he has been meeting voters directly and presenting his agenda.

During the door-to-door program, he mentioned that he is competing in a direct election for the first time and shared his past experience working as the Minister of Energy, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Minister of Finance. Mahat claimed that he completed the remaining work of expanding electricity access in Nuwakot.

He said, "I am contesting the election for the first time. Even though I am fighting a direct election from here for the first time, I have been the Energy Minister, Foreign Minister, and Finance Minister. I was the one who brought the remaining electricity to Nuwakot that had not reached here before. When I was the Finance Minister, irrigation projects had become dilapidated in the large budgets; I brought the budget for them. To ensure production and irrigation, this problem was removed."

He mentioned that while serving as Finance Minister, he allocated the necessary budget for irrigation projects that were in a state of disrepair, stating that those plans became effective in ensuring production and irrigation.

During the program, he claimed that other parties only make commitments, but their party shows results through work. "Others only talk; they say we will do this and that, but the Nepali Congress shows by working," he said. "I believe in work. After being elected, I will work with even more responsibility toward the people and will not disappoint them."

He is presenting his election agenda to voters and collecting suggestions regarding local problems. As the House of Representatives elections approach, candidates across the country have intensified their publicity campaigns.
