Madhav Sapkota Accuses Army of Preventing Prachanda from Meeting the Public
Kathmandu – CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Madhav Sapkota has alleged that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has been barred from appearing before the public under the pretext of security threats.
Through a Facebook post, Sapkota stated that although efforts were made daily to bring Prachanda among the people, the Nepal Army did not allow him to step out, citing security concerns. He wrote, “We tried every day to bring Prachanda among the people, but it is true that the Army Headquarters did not let him go out on the grounds of security risks.”
Sapkota further claimed that the Army’s actions are challenging Nepal’s reality and progress, pushing the nation toward a crisis. He reiterated that despite any crisis, no one should waver from the continuous struggle to safeguard the sovereignty of the Nepali people.
