Request for Party President Deuba to Participate in the Convention

Kathmandu – Proposed candidate for Nepali Congress, Jhapa Constituency No. 3, Deu Prasad Limbu, has given important suggestions to the party president Sher Bahadur Deuba regarding the upcoming special convention.

Limbu urged President Deuba to personally participate in the special convention, and if that is not possible, he suggested sending Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka as his representative. He emphasized that the special convention should be developed as a unifying event that resolves internal party conflicts.

He also proposed that the ticket distribution process for the upcoming elections should be conducted under the signature of Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka, stating that this would ensure fairness and maintain trust.

Furthermore, he requested President Deuba to clearly declare that personal ambition to contest elections and become a Member of Parliament should be set aside, so it does not hinder generational transition and leadership handover.

Limbu highlighted the need to acknowledge the expansion of awareness among the general public and party workers following the Janajee movement and said the party leadership should transform in accordance with the times.

He also requested President Deuba to move beyond the influence of those who, as Central Member Dinesh Koirala publicly stated, “create barriers and impose restrictions.”

“In this lies your benefit, the party’s benefit, and the country’s benefit,” Limbu noted in his suggestions.
