Discussion on the Sixth Annual Report of the Delegated Legislation Committee
Kathmandu: The sixth annual report (2081/082) of the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee was discussed on Thursday. During the discussion, Chairman Maya Prasad Sharma informed that the report has reached its final stages and stated that the committee has conducted an in-depth study of various recent political events.
He mentioned that the committee prioritized the Gen Z movement and held discussions with relevant ministers to hold them accountable. Chairman Sharma stated that the committee is moving forward with discussions while addressing other issues in a balanced manner.
He said, "We have studied many things. This report is almost final. Many political events have occurred recently, including the Gen Z movement, where we brought in government ministers in a simple manner to hold them accountable and facilitate discussions. We are also conducting discussions to address other tasks in a balanced way."
He expressed satisfaction with the committee's working style, noting that meetings have been held regularly and no meeting had to be postponed due to the absence of a member. Mentioning that there were no ill feelings despite differences in opinion during discussions, he stated that the committee has been operated like members of a single family.
"This is also a matter of political culture," Chairman Sharma said. "I am happy that all the honorable members of the committee have fulfilled their roles responsibly." He expressed his gratitude to all members of the committee.
