Lauro Campaign and various independent political forces committed to moving forward on a common platform

After the 2079 local elections, the independent political movement that has been active under various names and forms—from the Sachet Abhiyan and Lauro Campaign to Nagarik Bidroha and GenZ 2.0—stood in clear unity. 

The question "Where did the Lauro (stick symbol) go?" has been raised for a long time, and the nationwide meeting held in Budhanagar today gave a clear answer: the Lauro did not disappear, it was in the process of bringing independent consciousness together.

Around two hundred representatives, including 83 independent and Lauro candidates and 114 leaders from various independent campaigns, actively participated in the meeting. Participants expressed a clear commitment to move the Lauro Campaign and the independent political movement forward on a single common platform.

The meeting concluded that new forces will reach nowhere if they walk in separate directions, sending a clear message that unity is now essential. The gathering also warned that movements become weak and directionless when they move forward without understanding the heritage, roots, and history of building a new force.

According to Dr. Hari Karki, the central spokesperson of the Lauro Campaign, today's meeting is not just a discussion but a turning point for political clarity. 

He said, "Since 2079, the same movement has been struggling continuously under different names. Today, Lauro and the independents stand together. Alternative politics is only possible through unity, not by being divided."

According to political analysts, this meeting has sent a serious message to Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah, the Rastriya Swatantra Party, and the overall new political movement. They believe today's meeting signals that independent politics will now move forward through organization, numbers, and a shared strategy rather than just emotions.

The meeting is expected to announce important decisions regarding the future direction of the Lauro Campaign, coordination between independent political forces, a shared structure, and upcoming strategies.
