K.P. Sharma Oli: "I only pretended to run away on Bhadra 24th to make the children happy"

Chairman of the CPN-UML and former Prime Minister, K.P. Sharma Oli, has refuted the recent reports that he fled by helicopter following the 'Gen Z movement'.

Oli clarified that he did not run away, but only moved from one nearby house to another (from one side of the house to the other) because he thought the children would be happy.

"When everyone was saying 'he ran away, he ran away,' I had only moved from this house to the next house. Where did I run away to?" he repeated multiple times.

Referring to the context of Bhadra 24th, former Prime Minister Oli made a humorous remark at a program, saying, "On Bhadra 24th, I only pretended to run away because the children would be happy. Where would I run away to?" He stated that he only 'pretended to run away' to please the youth generation.
