Government Did Not Order Shooting in Gen-Z Protest - KP Oli
Kathmandu – Former Prime Minister and CPN-UML leader KP Sharma Oli expressed grief over the recent violent incident during the Gen-Z protest.
He wrote on Facebook, “Last week, what was supposed to be a peaceful protest was infiltrated, and conspirators carried out violence, resulting in the deaths of our youths.”
Oli stated that the government had not ordered the protesters to be shot and emphasized that the incident, where bullets were fired from automatic weapons not with the police, needs to be investigated.
He also paid tribute to the deceased youths and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Earlier, the former Prime Minister had highlighted efforts to strengthen Nepal’s sovereignty, develop north-south transport links, and create infrastructure to make the landlocked country more connected.
