UML Convention: KP Sharma Oli Takes Early Lead for Chairperson

The preliminary results of the election for the new leadership at the ongoing 11th National Convention of the CPN (UML) in Kathmandu have been released.
According to the latest details from the counting taking place at Bhrikutimandap, chairperson candidate KP Sharma Oli has maintained an early lead, leaving his competitor Ishwar Pokharel significantly behind.
As per the initial data released by the Election Commission, KP Sharma Oli has secured 156 votes, while 67 votes have been cast in favor of Ishwar Pokharel.
