Kharel Vows to Reform Restrictive Laws and Policies if Elected in Chitwan-2
Nepali Congress candidate for Chitwan Constituency No. 2, Meena Kumari Kharel, has stated that she entered the election to solve the problems of the local people.
In a press meet organized by Press Union Chitwan on Monday, Kharel mentioned that she has been working in the fields of the poor, helpless, women, and children. She expressed confidence that the people would trust her as she understands all the local issues well.
She stated that if elected, she would raise issues ranging from development construction in Chitwan-2 to matters hindered by policies, rules, and laws. She also committed to playing a role in establishing the rights of citizens in situations where they have been unable to receive the rights guaranteed by the constitution.
Rabi Lamichhane from RSP is also in the electoral race in Chitwan Constituency No. 2. Similarly, the CPN (UML) has fielded Asmin Ghimire, while the CPN has fielded Pratap Gurung. There are 23 candidates in that constituency, including 17 political parties and 6 independent individuals.
