Controversy Surrounding RSP Member Khagendra Sunar

Ethics and honesty are considered the greatest virtues in politics, but in the case of Khagendra Sunar, a central committee member of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and a former candidate for the House of Representatives, these words appear to be limited only to the dictionary.

Sunar is currently facing widespread criticism due to a controversial statement he made in a recent podcast, where he argued that "one should be allowed to eat cow." What is surprising is that he is now making a failed attempt to cover up his own words—which are clearly captured on video—by dismissing them as a lie.

Sunar, who gained prominence by leading campaigns like "Dalit for Dalit" and "Where is the Dalit?", used that ladder of popularity to secure a position as a central member of the RSP.

However, recent events confirm that instead of making him more responsible, his position and prestige have led him toward radicalism and anarchy. His light and provocative comments regarding the cow, which is considered a symbol of faith for Hindus, have increased the risk of disturbing social harmony.
