Kedar Yadav Elected as JSP Nepal Saptari District President
Kathmandu, August 5: Kedar Yadav has been elected as the new president of the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal's Saptari District Committee through the party's district convention.
Yadav defeated his closest contender, Umesh Yadav, by a margin of 30 votes in the election held in Rajbiraj on Tuesday. Out of the total 504 votes cast, Kedar Yadav secured 235 votes to win the post. Notably, he had already served as the district president in the previous term.
In other key results, Laxman Yadav won the vice-presidential post by narrowly defeating Hareram Yadav with a difference of just 9 votes. Niraj Mukti was elected as the district secretary by a slim margin of one vote.
Similarly, Rita Chaudhary and Rameshwar Yadav were elected as joint deputy secretaries, while Amarendra Yadav clinched the position of treasurer.
The district convention, inaugurated on July 30 (Shrawan 14) by JSP Nepal Chairman Upendra Yadav, concluded its leadership election process on Tuesday morning. While elections for district committee members have also been conducted, the counting of their votes is scheduled to begin later today.
