Kathmandu: Prachanda Claims Public and Gen Z Support for Maoist Leadership
Former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' stated that the general public is expressing confidence that the Maoists must come to lead the country in the upcoming election.
He claimed that discussions, especially with the Gen Z generation of youth, led him to the conclusion that they too consider the Maoists as their 'real guardians'.
Calling the Gen Z movement his successors, Prachanda expressed his commitment that the Maoists will continue to fight against corruption, misgovernance, and disorder.
Speaking about the dissolution of the parliament, he clarified that although his party supported the interim government formed by the President on K.P. Oli's recommendation, his own opinion was, "Let's dissolve the parliament only after getting approval from the parliament and amending the constitution."
Prachanda added, "The Gen Z movement are our successors, and we were continuously fighting against corruption, misgovernance, and disorder." He indicated that there is similarity between the demands raised by the Gen Z generation and the Maoist agenda.
