Kathmandu-8 Voters Favor Biraj Bhakta’s Calm and Mature Leadership
Kathmandu: RSP candidate for Kathmandu-8, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, is intensifying his door-to-door campaign. Meanwhile, during the campaign in Ward No. 13 on Wednesday, locals welcomed him to their neighborhood by offering a formal Sagun.
On this occasion, a group of more than 60 locals offered Sagun to Biraj's team as they were out asking for votes. In the Newar community, offering Sagun is understood as a heartfelt welcome. It is considered auspicious to give Sagun before starting any good deed.
Biraj Bhakta Shrestha is a prominent candidate in Kathmandu-8, a constituency previously won alternately by the Congress and UML. In the 2079 election, he was elected with 10,105 votes. Local voters say that following the RSP wave, Biraj has gained even more buzz, popularity, and support among the voters of that region. His calm and friendly nature is the primary reason he wins everyone's hearts.
Another factor is his status as the previous winner. Capable of speaking clearly, Biraj appears more mature on the ground compared to other leaders. In Kathmandu-8, the atmosphere clearly favors Biraj over other parties.
